Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.  There is a prayer event on Friday 18th May hosted at Trent Vineyard, we’ll be joining with Nottingham City Prayer and churches from across Nottingham for an evening of worship and prayer. Bow Down / Market Square - Gathering in the Market Square, Nottingham on Thursday 17 May from 20:45, we'll be praying from 21:00 - 21:15. This is a great event for everyone and you may like to come with your small group. We recommend that you bring something to kneel on if you need to. This is part of ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ – there are others from Trinity joining in so pop along if you can.


I am doing a sponsored walk for the Sherwood Forest Hospitals General Charitable Fund because of the outstanding Stroke Services.  The walk is the Lyke Wake Walk which will start at Osmotherley and finish at Ravenscar in the North Yorkshire Moors. I will complete it on Saturday 30th June. Trinity Mens Fellowship Thursday May 10th Annual meeting. All men are invited to attend-there are a number of important decisions to be made concerning the future of the Fellowship.

The family of the late Austin Christian are arranging a fundraising event for Dementia UK on 12 May at the Village hotel. A three course meal , speaker ( Tommy Whitelaw a renown Dementia speaker) and two singers- one being Austin’s Granddaughter, Hayley. Christian Aid Week 13-20 May 2018: In March we had a speaker from Christian Aid and a soup lunch which was very well supported. In his talk Tom highlighted the work of Christian Aid and the aim this year - to help build disaster-proof homes for vulnerable people like Vilia in Haiti. Poverty robs people of their dignity and lets injustice thrive, but we can help to transform lives. Envelopes will be available at church during Christian Aid week. Please give whatever you can. 

Saturday 12th May: the United Reformed Church are holding a Soup Lunch for Christian Aid. Watch out for posters for more information.


Monday 14th May.7-30pm Finance and Property Meeting. Any requests for finance etc should be passed to a committee member as soon as possible. Howard F

Lifting the Lid – a six week bible study course looking at mental health from a Christian perspective.  This will take place on the following 6 dates from 7pm at Trinity: 9 May, 23 May, 30 May, 27 June, 11 July, 25 July Please contact Tarnia to book a space. As we approach mental health awareness week we will be exploring what this topic means in everyday life from a biblical perspective. Please do come along on Wednesday as we start our six session bible study which covers a variety of mental health conditions. Doors open at 7pm for refreshments for a 7:30 start. Saturday 9th of June 7.30 – Saturday Night at the Movies! Note change of date. As we are doing The Prayer Course as a church we are having a movie night to view War Room. A Compelling faith based drama about the power prayer can have on marriages, parenting and career. Whilst it is not aimed at children it has a PG rating. Put the date in your diary!
