Monday September 17th 7.30pm. Ladies Prayer continues to look at the Book of Nehemiah. There is always time for personal prayer ministry and all ladies are very welcome to join us whether you are a seasoned prayer warrior or are just beginning to learn the importance of prayer.

September 20th: Ladies evening event. Fire and Glory! We will start the evening with a spud supper followed by a short time of worship and our speaker for the evening is Jean Lupton. This is a free event, but booking is essential for catering purposes Please book through Yvonne or Sarah or email trinityladies1@gmail.com

Finance and Property committee. Annual meeting will be on 24th September at 7-30pm

"Youth and Family Worker Role Update, we are continuing to advertise for candidates to take on the youth and family work in Trinity and expect to finalise that process by the end of Autumn.  We are looking for volunteers to help with the youth activities, if you feel this is something God has laid on your heart, please speak with Tim Stanyon or John Walton.

JAM JARS WITH LIDS needed urgently for the next Messy Church on October 7th.  If you have any please give to Jane Allen or Sue Street or leave in bottom youth room.  The next Messy Church will be on Sunday 7th October. Cards advertising it are in the foyer. Please take some and give out to family and friends and make this event widely known.

Growth Plan - please pick up a copy of the Growth Plan if you haven’t already got one - this is full of ideas generated by our Vision Day in April, some of which are already happening. Please read it; pray over it and see how God is calling you to respond

Harvest Social - Saturday September 29th. Games for Children and Young Families at 5.30; Pie & Chips at 6.30; Harvest Hymns singalong 7:30; Quiz 8:00; Finish 9:00. You are welcome to join us for some or all of the evening - it’s an Ideal opportunity to invite family members who don’t usually come to Church. Please sign up on the sheet on the notice board in the foyer if you require food - Sausage & Beans; Steak Pie or Vegetarian Pie. Suggested donation on the night £3.00 Adults; £1.50 Children                                                   

Harvest Donations - Sunday September 30th - once again these will be donated to Canaan Trust. In addition to the usual non-perishable foods donations of toiletries are always welcome as are gloves and scarves etc as we look ahead to winter

Connexion - quarterly Methodist publication highlighting inspiring stories from Churches across the country. Focusing on vocation in this issue, of particular interest this month is the first article as it quotes Isaiah 43 which is the passage that Eleanor was led to read out in Church on the Sunday that the announcement regarding the diaconal appointment was made. There are copies of the magazine in the foyer or read on-line at  www.methodist.org.uk/theconnexion

Wednesday 17th October 7.30: Quiz night at All Saints' Church, Sawley. Teams of 4, £5 per person. All proceeds will go to Christian Aid. See poster in foyer for more details.

This year we are hosting the annual Children in Distress Thanksgiving Service, a charity that loves, cares for and gives hope to hundreds of children with their expert medical care and their trained staff. More information of the charity can be found on the charity board downstairs. There is an invitation and welcome to you all to celebrate with us on Saturday 6th October at 2pm. (correction from the plan)

Following on from this, the Shoe Box appeal this year is also for the charity. The leaflets downstairs on the welcome table give you information on items you may wish to include.   As well as boxes for the children and young people the charity also welcomes boxes for the elderly too. These will be due in early November, exact date to follow. Thank you, Margaret Radford.

Jane Allen would like to invite you to her World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Care on Friday September 28th from 10am to 12 noon at Quarry Farm, Quarry Road, Morley Derby, DE7 6DJ. There will be the usual raffle, cake stall and plant stall. Everyone welcome

Trinity Ladies MWiB meet the 4th Thursday in the month from 7.15-9pm in the hall. All ladies of all ages are welcome to attend and please do bring a friend. Our future dates and speakers are: 27 September - Hyacinth Sweeney-Dixon sharing about her Journey; 25 October-Sue Street; 22 November-tbc; December- Christmas Meal; 24 January 2019 - Games evening; 21 February Sarah Sedgwick talking about the Jericho Road Project; A warm welcome to one and all.
