Samartian’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child. A special thank you to those who took time out at this busy time of year to source items to pack into shoeboxes for this annual appeal. I took the shoeboxes (23) along to the collection point and they are now on their journey to brighten up the lives of children, living in poverty, at Christmas. Packing shoeboxes, to be distributed to disadvantaged children is a demonstration that there are still selfless people in this world who care for those who really do benefit from feeling that someone, somewhere loves them at Christmas.

We would like to thank everyone who has placed recycling items in the box for Children in Distress over the past year; they are very much appreciated. Just a little reminder as the Christmas season approaches, if you would care to recycle your stamps we would be very grateful. Thank you, “The Radfords”.

I would like to thank everyone who donated their unwanted make-up for a very good art project that I am helping with and I will also be painting with them. I now have a large bag full of make-up and no more is needed. Many thanks again, Fay Brite.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported the Christmas Fayre in any way; in total we raised £1078 for our two charities. The charity Nuevas Esperanza are very grateful for the money raised which will go a long way in supporting their work with the vulnerable in Nicaragua
