Sleep-out -Terry & Sue Street with Ruth Broad did it – it was wet and it was windy but we survived! Please can you let us have your sponsor money or if you have not sponsored us yet please sign the sheet in the foyer. The Trust do an incredible job and we thank you that we are able to support this work – no-one should not have a roof over their head and have to endure the elements like that each night. Thank you for your support.

Christian Aid week 12th - 18th May: Having had a wonderful response to the Lent Soup Lunch there will not be another event at Trinity, but Long Eaton and Sawley group are organising a flower arranging demo at URC. More details below and on notice board. There will be envelopes out on Christian Aid Sunday for those who wish to donate to the appeal for Sierra Leone.

Tuesday 14th May 'Spring into Summer' - Flower arranging demonstration in support of Christian Aid. United Reformed Church, Long Eaton 7.30pm. Tickets £5.00 (Includes refreshments) available from Kathryn Jackson. see notice board for full details.

Leadership Team Meeting Tuesday April 30th 7.30pm

Circuit Superintendent. Our Circuit (Nottingham Trent Valley) has not been matched with a superintendent / presbyter minister to replace Rev. Stuart Bell when he retires in the summer. A letter to all Circuit Churches advising this was read out on Sunday April 7th and a copy is fixed to the notice board in the foyer for those who wish to read it. Pastoral oversight of some Churches has changed as a result and please pray for the ministers and Churches affected. There is no direct impact on Trinity, Christ Church or Breaston.

Date for your diary - As a church we will be takin part in the global prayer movement “Thy Kingdom Come” from the 31st May to the 9th June.  During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, we plan to offer resources and activities to help us focus on prayer and it is hoped that everyone who takes part will, deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, pray for God’s spirit to work in the lives of those they know and come to realise that every aspect of their life is the stuff of prayer.

The Well Conference 2019 will be taking place on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May. See the poster in the foyer for details. Please reserve your space to avoid disappointment 01332 872002 email: thewellonblindlane@gmail.com

Final Service at Queens Road - will be on Sunday April 28th at 3pm and there will be an opportunity to have tea and cake afterwards to catch up with people

Guides: It is with regret that after over 50 years of being at Trinity our Guide company, for various reasons, have decided to move Churches. We wish them all the best as they start a new Guide company at Breaston.

May 9th Thursday at 7-30pm. Annual meeting of the Trinity Men's Fellowship. As we have no secretary this is an important meeting to decide if or how we continue. All men are invited to have their say. Please remember the fellowship is open for all men of the Church and we would like to see and get some ideas from any who do not attend regularly.

Action For Children. I would be pleased if those members who have supported the Lent ‘Count Your Blessing giving’ hand their proceeds over to Howard as soon as possible so he can forward the amount to HQ from the Church. Thanks Howard

Canaan Trust. Thank you to everyone for your continued donations of food and other items via the basket in the foyer which currently are helping upwards of 60 people (individuals and families) every week. At the moment we are running low on tins (carrots; peas; potatoes and mixed veg) and pasta so would appreciate extra support with such items. Thank you again
