About All Welcome Erewash

The AWE network supports asylum seekers and refugees in Long Eaton and beyond by facilitating:

  • provision of clothing and items for everyday use;

  • assistance with English learning and conversation and other educational support;

  • spiritual and pastoral support;

  • positive community engagement;

  • friendship and social support;

  • voluntary activities and sport;

  • advocacy and consultation with service users and providers;

  • networking with other stakeholders;

  • support for asylum seekers being dispersed from Long Eaton elsewhere in the country - both in preparation for moving, and keeping in touch with those who have moved and facilitating local support; 

  • support for refugees after being granted the right to remain in the UK, including with finding housing  and household items and learning to live independently; 

  • other interventions identified as beneficial to local asylum seekers and refugees.

AWE stakeholders include faith and community groups, charities, individuals, asylum seekers and refugees.

We work with partners across Long Eaton and in Beeston, Ilkeston, Derby, and Nottingham.
