'What do you think about Christ?' Matthew 22:42

Who was Jesus? Why did He live? What did He say and do? Why did He die? Is He alive? What has He got to do with God? How do we know? What does it mean to know Him? Why might we want to?

Read and search the Bible online.

'Your word is a lamp for my feet,
   a light on my path.'

Psalm 119:105

The Bible is not so much one book as a whole library of books, not dictated, but inspired by God  speaking to different authors writing a variety of genres in their own languages - history, poetry, letters, laws, worship, prophecy to name but a few. English translations try to capture the meaning of the original text. Theologians and Bible scholars help us understand what the Bible means within its context. Do we take the words of Jesus seriously?

'Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.'

 Matthew 5:5

Why bother with Christianity when Christians remain as flawed as when Jesus first chose a human to found the Church? Never mind Christianity - consider what difference you could make if you take the words of Jesus seriously.
